1. How To Monetize YouTube Video Channel Through YPP?
You can monetize your YouTube channel by enrolling in the YouTube Partner Program (YPP) if your channel meets these minimum eligibility requirements.
- Your YouTube channel needs to have a minimum of 1000 subscribers
- 4000 valid public hours of watch time over the last 12 months
- Monetization should be available in your Country.
- Your YouTube channel follows all the YouTube monetization policies
- Your YouTube channel has a linked AdSense account
Once your YouTube channel meets these basic requirements, you can apply to join the YouTube Partner Program (YPP) which lets you monetize your YouTube video channel so that you start making money.

How To Activate/Enable Monetization On YouTube?
Login to your YouTube account and navigate to YouTube studio:

If your channel meets the requirements, and after applying for Monetization, you will be required to accept the YPP terms and set-up AdSense account to your YouTube channel.
You will also be required to set your Monetization preferences.
Once everything is done, your channel will be under review. It might take about 30 days for the review to happen. Sometime more than 30 days as well. Be patient.

Also, do make a note of few things that you SHOULD NOT do if you want to monetize your YouTube channel.
YouTube may exclude your content from ad revenue if it includes:
- Sexually suggestive content, including sexual humor and partial nudity.
- Violence in any form, including displays of severe injury and events related to violent extremism and or terrorism.
- Improper language, including profanity, harassment, and verbal vulgarity
- Promotion and use of drugs and regulated substances, including selling, use, and abuse of such items
- Controversial or sensitive subjects and events, including topics related to natural disasters, war, political conflicts, and tragedies.
